Lochderry Kirkoswald, Ayrshire where Robert Couperthwaite and Mary Calderwood farmed from 1836 until 1851. Robert passed away here in 1847. the croft was located at arrow head due south of Craigdow Loch north side of the road leading to High Newlands.

Merklands Farm, Kirkoswald, Ayrshire the birthplace of Janet Eaglesham who became the spouse of William McIlveen Couperthwaite in 1842.

High Drumdow Farm, Kirkoswald, Ayrshire where Mary Calderwood moved to in 1851 with the offspring still at living at home including daughters Mary ,Janet and sons Robert, Thomas and Gilbert.

Minnybae Farm Kirkoswald, Ayrshire is where David Eaglesham Couperthwaite married Elizabeth Ellen Eaglesham on 1st December 1875. It was also the home of Thomas Couperthwaite and his spouse Elizabeth Wilson (formerly Eaglesham) Elizabeth's widowed mother.
